On Thursday November 6th DCBIA’s Commercial Construction group co-chaired by Chuck Asmar, is hosting a forum on Sustainability Initiatives in the District. Chuck will make introductory comments for this extraordinary group of speakers and looks forward to seeing you there! The event will cover DC’s new Green Building Code, storm water regulations and its 20-year Sustainability Plan. Guests will hear from Brian Hanlon, the Director for the Department of General Services, Rabbiah “Robbie” Sabbakhan the Director for the Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs, Keith Anderson, the Director for the District Department of the Environment and Maisie Hughes the Director of Planning & Design for Casey Trees. The panel will address the challenges, benefits and opportunities associated with the new sustainability plan and how the new regulations will impact the future of development in the District.
