On May 3rd, Chuck Asmar had the honor and privilege to moderate the first of a three-part series on Project Delivery Trends presented by DCBIA’s Construction and Development Committee (which Chuck also co-chairs).
The series focuses on current trends, methods, and best practices in project delivery on public and private projects.
The design build/P-3 symposium featured a diverse panel of design-build professionals who discussed the risks and advantages of design build/P-3 and shared their experiences on challenges, successes and best practices traditional of these delivery methods. The panel represented all facets of the development industry — both public and private — and included Greer Johnson Gillis, Executive Director of DC Department of General Services (DGS) and former Deputy Director of the DC Department of Transportation (DDOT); Matt Haas, Sr. Vice President of Clark Construction Group; Mark Miller, Senior Vice President of SKANKSA; and Lisa Washington, Executive Director of Design-Build Institute of America.
