With the holidays quickly approaching, the ASM team wanted to take some time from their busy schedules to give back to the local community. Choosing to engage with Martha’s Table was an easy decision as they have been working with under served individuals and families in the District for over 30 years. Through a variety of programs Martha’s Table seeks to address some of DC’s most pressing short and long term issues surrounding poverty. In addition to providing educational services, Martha’s Table targets immediate hunger needs through a mobile food delivery program known as McKenna’s Wagon. The program coordinates daily food delivery to three DC locations where volunteers distribute hot meals, sandwiches and fresh fruit.
ASM accomplished its goal of collecting 3 boxes of canned goods and making 500 sandwiches for McKenna’s Wagon. They also sent a volunteer from the firm to help distribute them- a great experience for all!
