Jake Mitchell represents contractors and project owners in a wide variety of commercial disputes. In addition to his construction claims practice, he has experience in federal bid protests before GAO and the Court of Federal Claims.

Jake earned his law degree from New York Law School and a Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University. During law school, he worked as an intern for the Honorable John C. Moffett of the District Court of Maryland. He worked as a legal extern at a prominent construction law firm in New York City.

Jake is also a member of the DCBIA Construction and Development Committee, which focuses on and evaluates trends in commercial construction and development, as well as federal/local legislative regulatory proposals.

Jake is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland. He is currently awaiting admission to the DC bar and is being supervised by a licensed DC Bar member.
