Our firm has special expertise in helping small, disadvantaged, Veteran- owned, woman- owned and other types of business entities that are given preferences in state, local, and federal procurements.  We help clients navigate the special rules and requirements to obtain and maintain certifications, team or joint venture with larger businesses to obtain government work, bid for government work, respond to challenges to statuses, and challenge the status of competitors who may be trying to avoid requirements.

We represent small contractors in a variety of industries, including information technology, base maintenance services, other service contracts, manufacturing, construction, architect-engineer, and supply contracts including GSA and District of Columbia schedule contracts.  We have experience with all federal preference programs, including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses (“SDBs”) concerns, minority-owned businesses, SBA 8a program participants (and their mentors or joint venture partners), as well as HUBZone, Alaska native corporation, woman-owned small business (“WOSB”), veteran-owned small business, and service-disabled veteran-owned small business (“SDVOSB”). We also have experience with state and local certifications, such as the District of Columbia certified business enterprise program (“CBE”), and Maryland’s Minority Business Enterprise (“MBE”), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (“DBE”), and Small Business Enterprise (“SBE”) programs.
